Sibenik Riviera is located in the area of middle Dalmatia. It distinguishes by landscape beauty and rich cultural-historical monuments. It is part of Sibenik - Knin county in which area stretches along the coast between seaside of Split and Zadar in length of 100 km and towards inland it stretches to the heart of mountain Dinare, distant 45 km from coast. Sibenik is political, economic, social and cultural centre of Sibenik-Knin county.

Archipelago of Sibenik - Knin county consists of 242 islands, islets and reefs. It is mostly located in north-west part of Sibenik aquatory, well indented, bare surfaces and weakly inhabited - only 10 settlements. These islands with picturesque coves, clean sea and smell of Mediterranean attract visitors and tourists that wish to be accommodated in silence and beauty of untouched nature. On this area two National Parks are located: Kornati(archipelago with about 150 small islands) and Krka (river with famous and numerous waterfalls). At the entrance to National Park Krka is situated in the picturesque townSkradin. Variety and richness have been always attracting people along Riviera to witness the proofs of past time, from prehistorically structures and Roman settlements to mediaeval and renaissance forts and buildings.
