In the past, this neo-gothic church, towering right next to the main road from Rajecké Teplice to Rajec. The believers built it 100 years ago on the site of a former cemetery with the help of charity from the residents of the surrounding villages. It was designed by builder Nicoletty.
At present, however, it serves as a chapel, thanks to the construction of a new modern Church of the Divine Heart of Jesus a few steps further. The Church of the Assumption of the Virgin was sanctified on August 15, 1909, on the day of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary by the Bishop of Nitra, Viliam Batthyány.
